My Book
This is a photo book I created for my Senior Project at Grace Prep High School that shows how people with mental disabilities fit into society and what adjustments and sacrifices must be made to accommodate them. The main point illustrated by this book is that even though it will involve some more work to accommodate people with special needs, their lives are worth living. I made it using the free book creation software called Blurb Booksmart®. More information about the Booksmart® software can be found here. This book showcases my photography abilities, but I also wrote and edited all of the book's copy text as well as laid out the pages using the Booksmart software.
This book is dedicated to my brother, Sam, who has Down's and is one of my heroes.
The preview is as much as I am allowed to show you for free, but I don't make any profit off of the books.

ENGL 202C Internet Resource Guide
I made this resource guide as one of my projects for English 202C. This assignment was a bit of a learning experience for me, as I had never written an abstract before. However, I feel that I was able to put the various skills I learned in the class to use and because of this project I now know how to write an abstract.
Comm 190 Term Paper
In the summer 2011 semester, I took a class called "Video Games and Interactive Media," which was taught by Dr. Ben Cramer. I learned a lot of interesting things about the video game industry and its relationship with the US and other governments, as well as with the media. This class was the final tipping point for me when it came to switching majors from IST to Media Effects.
This is the term paper I wrote for the class, about news media and their effect on public perception of video games.

Tetris
I made this in C++ for Comp Sci 101 in the Fall semester of 2010. I am not that great at programming, but once I picked up the syntax and the basic structures and I enjoyed trying to figure out how to make things work. I have to admit, there were a few parts that frustrated me though. I need to thank my dad for help learning things I still didn't understand! While computer programming is not my strong suit, I am able to learn it to some extent.

IST 110 Video
This is a video my group made for IST 110. We acted it out in Garry's Mod, recorded it with Fraps, and I edited it. It is a remake of the video "Cool Guys Don't Look at Explosions" by The Lonely Island.
Comparative Literary Criticism
The following files are a paper I wrote in AP English in 12th Grade comparing Alyosha from The Brothers Karamazov with Prince Myshkin from The Idiot. I found The Idiot to be a better book than The Brothers Karamazov, but they are both considered to be classics and they were both very thought provoking. Since both books were written by Dostoevsky, it was interesting to see the differences between the two characters.
